Thank you for your recent update. It’s good to know that Strava will evolve and grow.
Here’s an idea.
At present, Strava creates leader boards for segments based on who’s the fastest. This is, after all, the basic premise of competition. There is another premise, however, peculiar to cycling lore, that of the ‘lanterne rouge’: the honour of the cyclist who comes last, who stays the course, despite the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune. How about a special PR for a segment that you have ridden before, but never as slowly? A Lanterne Rouge. Arguably, an LR personal record might involve memories and stories more vivid than the times you smashed it or KOMd.
